Volunteers

 The Somerset County Democratic Committee Internship Program will give the selected applicant an opportunity to be introduced to politics and the political process. Interns will have the opportunity work with campaigns, work with peers to complete tasks, and learn skills to help Democrats win state-wide, county-wide, and local elections. 

Interns will be expected to work 5-10 hours per week, with expanded hours possible in the summer, and will have the opportunity to work on projects and tasks that match their interests and goals moving forward. Interns will learn skills in areas such as communications, social media, scheduling, event planning and other areas that will benefit the party and our candidates. The internship is unpaid, but we will work with you on getting school credit and finding additional opportunities beyond the scope of the internship. Interns will report to the Executive Director.
